LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada’s Resiliency and Justice Center is offering free support services after a gunman opened fire inside a local grocery store.

The Resiliency and Justice Center is Nevada’s statewide victim service center, providing trauma-informed help to all survivors of violent crime and their families. The center was initially formed to respond to the tragic shooting on October 1, 2017, and now assists all survivors of violent crime and connects individuals to needed resources and assistance for healing.

Services include:

  • Advocate assistance with connection to resources
  • Mental health support groups and referrals
  • Legal aid services for various issues arising from victimization, including U visas
  • Advice and assistance with Victims of Crime Compensation Program applications
  • Behavioral health navigation
  • Integrative services and online/in-person workshops

All services are free and confidential. Anyone impacted by the May 12 grocery store incident in Las Vegas is encouraged to reach out to the Resiliency and Justice Center for available resources.
