LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A pedestrian was hospitalized with critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle on the Las Vegas Strip early Thursday morning, police say.
Around 2:16 a.m., officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of the crash in the area of Las Vegas Boulevard and Caesars Palace Drive.

Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was possibly crossing outside of a marked crosswalk before being struck by the vehicle, according to police. The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.
Police add that impairment is not suspected.
Traffic was diverted while traffic units investigated the incident, but all lanes have since reopened.
