LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Six vehicles caught fire at an airport parking garage at Harry Reid Airport, officials told FOX5 Wednesday afternoon.

Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the fire started after 3 p.m. at the Terminal 1 parking garage.

“We are assisting firefighters with the evacuation of the parking garage,” police said.

Upon arrival, firefighters found 4-6 vehicles on fire on an upper floor of the Terminal 1 parking garage.

Crews immediately ascended via stairwells to combat the fire.

At this time, the fire has been extinguished with a total of six vehicles involved.

Two people have been treated for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

In total, 4 Engines, 1 Truck, 2 Rescues, 2 Battalion Chiefs, one EMS captain, and the Assistant Fire Chief for Aviation responded to this incident for a total of 28 fire personnel.

FOX5 has learned that passenger pickup has reopened and the incident has been cleared.

Travelers are advised to go to the Terminal 3 parking garage.
