LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person dead Thursday morning.
The incident was reported just before 9 a.m. at the 4900 block of Lana Drive, near Nellis Boulevard and Boulder Highway.
Officers responded and located a victim lying on the ground. The victim transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Residents are urged to avoid the area due to a large police presence as the investigation continues.
