LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 28-year-old man died after a hit-and-run crash involving a pickup truck Friday afternoon in the northwest Las Vegas Valley, police said.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said a witness called at about 2:37 p.m. June 5 after finding a body along North Oso Blanca Road north of West Montecito Pointe Drive.

Medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Investigators said evidence and a witness statement indicate a Ram pickup truck was driving south on Oso Blanca Road when it struck the pedestrian, who was riding a skateboard.

Police said the man was thrown southbound onto the east shoulder of the road and later died from his injuries.

The driver and vehicle did not remain at the scene, police said. A 2025 Ram 1500 was later located, but the driver had not been identified as of Saturday.

The victim’s name was not released pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation by LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section. Anyone with information is asked to call 702-828-3595 or 702-828-3060.
