LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed early Saturday in a crash with an SUV at an intersection, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said.

Police said the collision happened around 3:25 a.m. June 6 at East Warm Springs Road and Gilespie Street.

Investigators said a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling north on Placid Street and entered the intersection from a posted stop sign, pulling into the path of a westbound 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 on Warm Springs Road, where there were no traffic control devices requiring the motorcycle to stop.

The motorcycle’s front struck the passenger side of the SUV, police said. The rider was ejected and landed on Placid Street north of the intersection.

Medical personnel took the motorcyclist to UMC Trauma, where he later died, police said. The rider’s name was not released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the Nissan had minor injuries, police said.

Investigators said he remained at the scene, showed no signs of impairment and cooperated with the investigation.

The crash was the 51st traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2026, police said.
