LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An officer with the North Las Vegas Police Department helped an elderly resident with a disability after the person’s mobility scooter broke down on a busy roadway, leaving them stranded several miles from home.
Police said Officer S. Flagg came across the resident while on patrol. The resident was stuck in the heat without shade, water, or a safe way to get home.

Officer Flagg transported the resident and the mobility scooter back to the person’s home and assisted them into their apartment to ensure they were safe, according to the department.
The incident highlights how officers may provide assistance beyond enforcement, particularly during situations involving vulnerable community members.
