LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Detectives with the Henderson Police Department have arrested one person in connection with a homicide case from early 2022.
Police say officers responded around 4:51 p.m. Jan. 7, 2022, to a home in the 1800 block of Indian Bend Drive for a welfare check after a caller reported they had not heard from their friend, 68-year-old Yong Temple.
Officers entered the residence and found Temple dead inside.
Investigators determined Temple died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck, resulting in asphyxia.

Officers would later take 37-year-old Markus Williams into custody on Saturday, June 13, 2026, and booked into the Henderson Detention Center on a charge of open murder.
The case involved Henderson Police Department units including Cold Case, Crime Scene Analyst, Intelligence, and the Investigative Division, along with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Forensic DNA Laboratory.
