LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) joined forces over the long weekend, making sure DUI drivers stay off the roads.
During the traffic enforcement operation, 233 drivers were cited for traffic offenses while officers arrested 25 drivers for DUI.
An additional three arrests were made for undisclosed offenses, one firearm was recovered, and 35 vehicles were towed.

The multi-agency effort brought together law enforcement from throughout the region in a coordinated push to reduce impaired and reckless driving, LVMPD officials say.
“Driving is a privilege, not a right,” officials added as a reminder to the public following the operation.
Authorities are urging drivers to plan ahead and always choose a sober, safe ride home.
