LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — PWHL Las Vegas signed forward Jada Habisch to a one-year contract, the team announced June 20, adding a collegiate scoring standout as the franchise prepares for its inaugural 2026-27 season, according to a press release.

Habisch, 23, spent her rookie professional season with the Seattle Torrent after being selected in the fourth round (31st overall) of the 2025 PWHL Draft, the release said.

She was activated from the reserve list in March and appeared in 11 regular-season games, scoring her first professional goal April 8 against the Ottawa Charge.

A native of Buffalo, Minnesota, Habisch played five seasons at the University of Connecticut and led the Huskies in goals in each of her final three seasons. As captain in 2024-25, she scored a career-high 16 goals and added six assists, earning Hockey East Third Team All-Star honors. said officials.

Habisch finished her UConn career with 64 goals, third in program history, and 99 points, sixth all-time, the release said.

In Las Vegas, she joins forwards Katy Knoll, Maureen Murphy and Hayley Scamurra, defenders Erin Ambrose, Mae Batherson, Kendall Cooper and Megan Carter, and goaltender Nicole Hensley, the team said.

The club also selected eight players in the 2026 PWHL Draft presented by Upper Deck, adding six forwards, one defender and one goaltender earlier in the week.
