LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A new farmers market is bringing fresh food and local vendors to Mountainview Hospital in the northwest valley.
The hospital hosted its first-ever farmers market, featuring fresh produce, pre-packaged healthy foods and information booths from local businesses. It is a partnership with the nonprofit Supporting Arms, which focuses on foster children, healthy eating habits and education.

“We presented the farmers market for the patients, staff and the community to come and visit so we can provide people with healthy, nutritious foods,” said Leonard Lozano of Supporting Arms.
The market will run on a regular schedule every last Thursday of the month from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of Mountainview, near Tenaya and Cheyenne.
Shoppers can find everything from California-grown berries to popcorn, meats, and family treats. Regulars say it is a great way to support small businesses while eating healthier.
