LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Employees and customers were captured on multiple surveillance cameras fleeing, hiding, and panicking during a deadly shooting inside a Smith’s store, according to evidence presented to a grand jury.
FOX5 obtained the video and crime scene photos that played a key role in the indictment of 43-year-old Alejandro Estrada, who opened fire inside the store on May 12.
The victims of the shooting have been identified as Amanda and Victor Frias-Rosas, who were also employees.

Those photos show a folder filed with court documents was left on the victim’s bodies following the shooting.
Those documents appear to be papers related to the custody case between Estrada and Amanda, which had been ongoing at the time.
Footage taken from multiple angles within the store show the moments customers and employees hear the first shots ring out and begin to flee, hide, or panic.
Many customers and employees can be seen gathering outside the front of the store, at first hiding then making phone calls.
Inside the store, surveillance footage shows customers duck and run from the store in the self-checkout, produce, and deli areas.
Additional footage also shows the moment several customers chase down and struggle with Estrada, before pinning him to the ground in the pharmacy drive-thru until police officers arrive.
Crime scene photos show that Estrada’s backpack was filled with multiple rounds of ammunition and magazines, alongside the handgun used in the shooting.
Prosecutors have referred Estrada’s case to a Death Penalty Review Committee to see if they can pursue capital punishment in his trial.
Estrada is due back in court for arraignment on Thursday, July 30.
