LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Work will begin Monday, July 13, on traffic signal improvements at the intersection of Shaumber Road and Centennial Parkway, bringing lane restrictions to the area for up to 60 days.

Lane restrictions will close all but one lane southbound, eastbound and westbound. Flaggers will be present to assist pedestrians navigating the intersection. Work will take place on the southeast, southwest and northwest corners of the intersection from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Lane restrictions will be removed each day after work is completed.

What the project includes

The project includes installation of traffic signal poles, mast arms, traffic signal indicators, pedestrian poles and indicators, a vehicle detection system, an emergency vehicle preemption system, a fiber-optic network connection, underground conduit, electrical wiring, lighting, signs and pavement markings.

Alternate routes

Motorists should expect delays. Alternate routes to avoid the intersection include Dorrell Lane for east/west travel and Hualapai Way for north/south travel.
