LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Target, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada, will host an after-hours shopping event this month to help local students prepare for the new school year.
The private event is scheduled for Monday, July 27, from 3 to 5 p.m. at a Target store in Las Vegas. Organizers said 75 students will take part, shopping for school supplies and other essentials.
Before shopping begins, each student will receive a $100 Target gift card and a Champion backpack filled with items including Yoobi notebooks, gel pens, a reusable water bottle and snacks, according to the release.

Students will then shop with their families, with dedicated checkout lanes reserved for the event, organizers said.
The event is part of Target’s national back-to-school initiative, which the company said is supporting about 1,700 students in 20 communities across the country.
Target said it contributed more than $1.5 million in product and cash donations in the greater Las Vegas area in 2025, including more than 600,000 pounds of food donated to local food banks. The company said team members also volunteered more than 5,200 hours in the community.
The Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada said its mission is to help young people — especially those who need it most — reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
