LINCOLN COUNTY (FOX5) — A wildfire in Lincoln County has grown to 2,500 acres with zero percent containment, according to Watch Duty.

The Quail Springs Fire was first reported at 8:22 a.m. Saturday, July 25, on private land near Bald Mountain. The cause is unknown.

Fire behavior and fuels

The NIFC ICS 209 incident report lists fire behavior as extreme. Primary fuels include timber with grass and understory, with short grass as a secondary fuel model.

Resources assigned

Twenty-six personnel are assigned to the fire, managed under a Type 3 incident commander, according to NIFC.
