LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Harry Reid International Airport hosted its annual Paper Plane Palooza on Tuesday, bringing together about 75 kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada for a day of aviation education and friendly competition.
The event was held at Terminal 3, where children participated in a paper airplane folding and flying contest alongside airport employees and partners.

What organizers said
Organizers said the event was designed to give kids a new perspective on the airport and the people who work there.
“First of all, have fun. It’s always about fun in the summer. Just have that time to enjoy themselves, but really experience the airport in a new way,” said Andy Bischel, president and CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada. “To really see there’s people behind every job and every opportunity.”
School supplies donated
Participating children also received free school supplies donated by the airport and its partners.
