LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — FOX5 has learned the identity of the man accused in the deadly shooting of a Good Samaritan who police say attempted to stop him stealing flowers from a woman.
Rodger Harrison III is facing charges of open murder, robbery, and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit in relation to the Thursday night shooting, according to court records.

LVMPD says the shooting was reported around 5 p.m. in the area of Jones and Upland boulevards, near I-11. Arriving officers found a car that appeared to have struck a tree, with a Hispanic man in his late 30s suffering from a gunshot wound inside.
The man was taken to UMC, but later died from his injuries, according to police.
An investigation found that the suspect approached a woman selling flowers and attempted to steal them, but the victim attempted to intervene before being shot.
Harrison is due in court on Friday around 1:30 p.m.
