LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — One person was hospitalized Saturday morning after a fire broke out in a recreational vehicle that had been converted into a residence in Clark County, fire officials said.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to reports of an RV fire at 2104 Linn Lane at 10:11 a.m.
The first units arrived three minutes later to find flames engulfing the RV and threatening a neighboring home.
The incident was quickly upgraded from a vehicle fire to a building fire response.
Firefighters deployed attack lines to extinguish the blaze, search the property, and protect the adjacent home from catching fire.
According to officials, the firefighting efforts were complicated by the positioning of the RV, which was located in the rear yard and being used as a home.
Multiple other vehicles parked in the front yard further limited access to the backyard area.
The occupant of the converted RV was located by emergency crews and transported to University Medical Center. The condition of the occupant has not been released.
No firefighter injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
