LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — One person has died following a multi-vehicle traffic collision Monday afternoon on West Desert Inn Road, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
On Aug. 3, 2026, a little before 2 p.m. Las Vegas police responded to reports of a crash near West Desert Inn Road and Decatur Boulevard.
According to preliminary details from police, the collision initially involved a white SUV and a black Nissan Versa.
Following the initial impact, the Nissan also struck a tree and a red truck.
All individuals involved in the crash were taken to the hospital, where one person later died.
The identity of the victim and the official cause of death have not been released at this time.
Police have closed roads surrounding West Desert Inn Road, Warnock Road, and Frontier Avenue to conduct their investigation.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area as delays are expected to continue.
The investigation is ongoing.
