RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Reno Sparks Indian Colony has issued a declaration of emergency due to the Bug and Fred Mountain Fires.
RSIC officials say the declaration allows them to strengthen coordination and access critical resources from tribal, local, state and federal agencies.
The mandatory evacuation of Hungry Valley and its complete closure remain in effect.
All roads into Hungry Valley are closed and residents are asked to not attempt to return.
The Reno Gym at 34 Reservation Road remains open as the Hungry Valley evacuation center.
