High crude oil prices push Nevada gas prices back up

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – New data from AAA Nevada shows gas prices in the state of Nevada are going back up.

They say the average cost of a gallon of gas in Nevada is $4.77, with the average cost of a gallon of gas in Reno being $5.06 and $4.76 in Las Vegas.

“Even though gasoline demand is down, which is typical for this time of year, crude oil is pushing up the national average,” said Doug Johnson, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group. “Crude oil prices remain in the $80 per barrel range amid continued instability in the Strait of Hormuz.”
