LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Police say two daughters found their mother and father both dead Monday afternoon, police say.

Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said a call came in around 3:30 p.m. from a teen who said she came home from school and found her parents dead. Officers arrived at a home in the 4900 block of S. Nellis Boulevard near Tropicana Avenue.

Officers found the man and woman with gunshot wounds and started to provide immediate aid. Medical personnel arrived and said the two died at the scene.

Lt. Robert Price with LVMPD revealed early details of the investigation. He said the man and woman were married but had been separated for a while.

Police say the husband forced his way inside his wife’s home and waited for her to arrive. When she got home, police say he shot her, and then himself. Police described the two as Hispanic and in their 30s.

Price said two daughters found the two after the incident. Police say a guardian picked them up.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the LVMPD Homicide Section at 702-828-3521.
