LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Cantopop trio is heading to Fontainebleau Las Vegas for two nights this Thanksgiving weekend. Grasshopper will perform Nov. 27 and 28 at BLEAULIVE Theater.
Group’s history
The Hong Kong group — Edmond So, Calvin Choy and Remus Choy — first broke out in the mid-1980s after entering a major new talent singing contest and catching the attention of Cantopop icon Anita Mui. They went on to sign with PolyGram Records and scored a string of hits through the late 1980s and 1990s with high-energy dance routines and pop songs including “Material Girl” and “La La Means I Love You.”

Las Vegas shows
Four decades later, Grasshopper is still touring globally and selling out arenas across Asia. The group’s Las Vegas shows will feature new arrangements, updated stage production and its signature choreography. BLEAULIVE Theater at Fontainebleau is the newest performance venue on the Strip.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. Pacific time through the Fontainebleau Las Vegas website.
