LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — One person is dead and another is injured following a deadly stabbing in downtown Las Vegas Thursday morning, according to police.
According a briefing from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Lieutenant Robert Price, the homicide was reported in the 800 block of 3rd Street, near Casino Center and Charleston, around 1 a.m.

As officers from the Downtown Area Command arrived, they located two people on the sidewalk with stab wounds. Both were provided medical aid and then transported to UMC.
Price shared that one of the men later died at the hospital, while the other remains in critical condition.
Price also said that the victims and suspect are all believed to be males experiencing homelessness. At the time of the stabbing, police believe the suspect was confronting the victims over missing property.
Police have stopped one person in the area that will be questioned about the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to contact LVMPD. An investigation in the area is ongoing, and roads will remain closed until further notice.
