LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Clark County is warning the public about a phishing scam targeting customers of its Comprehensive Planning Department.
The county said the scam email asks recipients to review an attached invoice and submit payment information for a compensation fee tied to a use permit and design review application.

County officials said the domain “@usa.com” is associated with the phishing scam. Officials said customers should only trust emails coming from the domain “@ClarkCountyNV.gov.”
The county said a customer’s planner will always be included on legitimate invoices.
Officials said anyone who suspects a message they received may be a phishing scam should contact the county at (702) 455-5616 or email [email protected] for verification.

- Customers will be invoiced from an email address that includes “@clarkcountynv.gov.”
- Legitimate invoices will include the Planning employee the customer is familiar with.
- The county advises against clicking links seeking payment information.
