LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Firefighters rescued a dog Monday morning after a fire broke out inside the garage of an east Las Vegas home.

Emergency responders with the Clark County Fire Department were called to a residential garage fire around 11:30 a.m. at the 4300 block of Cherry Stone Court, near Harmon and Pecos.
Crews quickly deployed hand lines to attack the flames, preventing the fire from spreading beyond the garage into the main living areas, officials say.

All residents evacuated safely, and firefighters rescued a dog from inside the home. The scene remains active as investigators work to determine the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage, they add.
