LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority and The Michaels Organization are hosting a ceremonial grand opening Tuesday morning for Gholson Landing, a new 121-unit affordable housing community in Las Vegas.
Located at 2601 Sunrise Ave., the residential complex serves households earning between 30% and 80% of the area median income. The property was completed earlier this year and has already reached nearly 80% occupancy.

The development is named in memory of Thomas Gholson, who served as deputy executive director of the Las Vegas Housing Authority, the predecessor agency to the SNRHA.
The ceremony is scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, and will include remarks from local and state leaders, including Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley as well as representatives from the SNRHA and The Michaels Organization.
