LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Police say a pedestrian has life-threatening injuries after a crash in west Las Vegas Monday evening, police say.
Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the crash happened just after 5 p.m. at West Spring Mountain and Cimarron roads. Police say it involved a pedestrian riding a non-electric scooter and the driver of a 2021 Chevy Camaro.
Police say the driver, a 39-year-old woman, drove westbound on Spring Mountain on a solid green light at Cimarron. At the same time, the pedestrian was crossing Spring Mountain from the northeast corner to the southeast corner.
Police say a crash happened when the pedestrian rode into the Camaro’s path.
Medical personnel responded. According to police, the pedestrian was taken to UMC’s Trauma Center, where his injuries are considered life-threatening.
Police say the woman stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
