LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Police are responding to a barricaded subject in east Las Vegas, where officers say surrounding homes have been evacuated.
Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the barricade started just after 6 p.m. in the 100 block of Betty Lane, near Charleston and Nellis boulevards.
Police say the subject is reportedly armed. SWAT and crisis negotiators are currently on scene trying to have the suspect surrender.
Police say surrounding residences have been, or are being, evacuated as a precaution.
