LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino is hosting a new tribute show called “1970 Live – That’s the Way It Was” inside the International Theater, the same stage where Elvis Presley’s concert was filmed for the documentary “Elvis: That’s the Way It Is.”
In 1970, movie cameras rolled as Presley performed at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, footage that became the concert documentary. More than 50 years later, Westgate Las Vegas is reviving the performance with a one-night-only show on Saturday, October 24.

Award-winning Elvis tribute artist Travis Powell stars in the production, fronting a nine-piece band and nine background singers. The set list includes “Suspicious Minds,” “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’,” “Love Me Tender,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “Heartbreak Hotel.”
Westgate said Elvis remains part of the property’s history and that the show is designed to let longtime fans relive the documentary while giving new fans a chance to experience it in person.
