Rosen votes in favor of bill imposing new limits on college sports

WASHINGTON DC (KOLO) – U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen has voted in favor a bill that would impose new limits on college sports.

The Protect College Sports Act passed the Senate on Monday and would set national regulations governing payments to college athletes for their name, image and likeness and how often they can transfer.

The bill now heads to the House.

“The current rules around athlete compensation and eligibility in college sports have created a murky landscape that’s hurting our student-athletes and the sports we love most,” said Senator Rosen. “I was proud to help pass this bipartisan bill in the Senate to return some much-needed stability to college sports and provide clear protections for our athletes and universities in Nevada.”
