According to officials, a group of UTVs were riding a narrow, rocky trail from Soap Canyon toward Hualapai Mountain County Park when one left the trail and rolled into a ravine.
Due to the steep terrain, crews used a technical rope system to reach the vehicle, where the driver was found dead.
The body of the man, later identified as John Emory Shuttz of Kingman, Arizona, was extracted, brought to the Command Post by SAR and later transferred into the care of the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office.
