LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A judge in Goodsprings, Nevada has set bail for the woman arrested in connection to a rollover crash that left her daughter dead earlier this month.

Natalie Rodriguez appeared via Zoom in Goodsprings court on Tuesday. This comes weeks after she was arrested on October 4 in connection to the crash that occurred along the I-15 near mile marker 21 in Jean, Nevada.

Court records show the state requested the judge to set Rodriguez’s bail at $100,000 while the defense requested $20,000 bail.

The judge would go on to set bail at $25,000 with high-level electronic monitoring, a drug patch requirement and no driving.

Additionally, Rodriguez also waived her right to a preliminary hearing within 15 days.

Troopers responded to the crash just after 6 a.m. and found a gray Chevrolet Tahoe with California registration rolled over on the northbound side of I-15.

According to an arrest report, the crash caused a juvenile female passenger to be ejected into the southbound lanes. She would later be pronounced dead.

Rodriguez was also located at the scene holding a juvenile male, according to the report.

An update to the child’s condition has not been released as of Tuesday.

The report also detailed an interview Rodriguez had with officials, noting that she had been driving overnight from Las Vegas to Ontario, California, and back, while also admitting to using marijuana vape pens the previous day.

Rodriguez is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on December 8.
