LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada State Police said a shooting investigation forced officers to close roads on I-15 northbound from the interchange to Speedway Boulevard Tuesday night.
Police said they responded to a shooting around 9 p.m. near I-15 and Lake Mead Boulevard.
Preliminary investigation reveals that one person was shot and was transported to a hospital. Police say they are in stable condition.
“In response to this incident, IR15 northbound, from the Interchange to Speedway Blvd., was closed for a period to facilitate investigative efforts,” police say. “All lanes have since been reopened.”
Police told FOX5 there is no further threat to public safety identified. Nevada State Police’ Investigation Division says this case is still active.
