LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas valley will get a glimpse of the Great American Eclipse Monday!
According to FOX5′s chief meteorologist Sam Argier, the valley will start to see the a partial eclipse begin at 10:12 a.m. and then peak at 11:20 a.m.

To prepare for the event, FOX5 gathered everything we know happening throughout the valley to celebrate the eclipse:
FOX5 reached out to the Clark County School District to see what they have planned for students. Officials say students have an opportunity to see the solar eclipse on campus starting around 11:30 a.m.
“Your child’s safety is our top priority,” the district said. “We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety of our students during this unique event. Please check in with your student’s school(s) for specific guidance or concerns regarding your child.”
FOX5 plans to visit a local school at this time to capture the event.
The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower is inviting fans to observe the partial eclipse from 10:43 a.m. to 11:57 a.m. on Monday.
“The first 200 people who arrive at the Tower will receive a pair of solar eclipse viewing sunglasses with the purchase of a Tower admission ticket, priced at $20 and available to purchase in-person or online in advance here,” casino officials say.
