LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A driver is dead, and three others are injured after a wrong-way crash in North Las Vegas on Monday night.

Officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department responded to the area of Camino Al Norte, just south of Lone Mountain Road in response to the crash around 6 p.m. It was determined that two vehicles were involved, including a white 2016 Honda Civic and a gray 2022 Kia Forte, and four individuals were critically injured.

The driver of the Honda Civic, who was the only person in the car and was identified as a female in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and two passengers of the Kia Forte were transported to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries. According to police, the driver and one of the passengers remain in critical condition, while the other passenger was determined to have “non-life-threatening” injuries.

An investigation revealed that the Honda Civic drove onto the wrong side of the roadway for “unknown reasons” and struck the Kia head-on.

North Las Vegas police continue to investigate the collision, though believe speed and impairment are not factors in this crash.

The identification of the deceased, along with the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Anyone who may have information about this collision is urged to contact the North Las Vegas Police Department by phone at 702-633-9111. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 702-385 -5555, or on the internet at www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
