LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County Fire Department said one person was sent to the hospital after a home fire in the Spring Valley area Wednesday.

Police said they received multiple calls for a building fire in the 6000 block of Silverfield Drive around 10:04 a.m. This is near Harmon Avenue and Jones Boulevard.

Police said the first truck responded at 10:09 a.m. and firefighters say they observed fire from the front door and an occupant visible that exited from a side door of the home.

Firefighters say the fire was knocked down by 10:13 a.m. and was contained to one room of origin.

The person was transported to UMC because of signs of smoke inhalation for further evaluation.

An estimated fire loss was valued at $50,000 by the department.

“A total of 6 engines, 2 trucks, 3 rescues and 2 BCs responded for a total of 40 personnel.  Also responding were AMR, Fire Investigations, NV Energy and SW Gas. There were no reported firefighter injuries,” officials say.
