LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man is dead a week after being struck by a car that fled the scene in North Las Vegas.
North Las Vegas Police Department responded to the vehicle-pedestrian crash at Losee Road and East La Madre Way on Tuesday, May 7 around 9:30 p.m.
Arriving officers located an adult male in his 60′s, suffering from injuries sustained after being struck by a car. He was transported to UMC shortly after.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the man was standing in the northbound lanes on Losee for “unknown reasons” outside of a marked crosswalk. At the same time, an unknown vehicle was traveling northbound on Losee and struck the man.
Police say the vehicle then left the scene.
On Tuesday, May 14, NLVPD was notified that the male pedestrian had died from his injuries at UMC.
