LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police handed out over 80 citations and arrested 28 individuals during EDC this past weekend.

The Electric Daisy Carnival, or EDC, was held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this past weekend. The event features various electronic dance music by producers and DJs, art installations, and structures.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and other valley first responders issued safety tips for attendees ahead of the festival. FOX5 spoke with emergency medical services about what preparation for the festival may look like.

On Friday night, police made 12 felony and three misdemeanor arrests, and handed out 22 misdemeanor citations.

Saturday saw five felony and five misdemeanor arrests, and 33 misdemeanor citations. While 11 felony arrests, nine misdemeanor arrests, and 30 misdemeanor citations were handed out on Sunday.

“From Friday to Sunday, hundreds of LVMPD officers worked to provide a safe and secure environment for about 170,000 festival-goers each night,” the department noted in a post on X. “We’re proud to say that there were no major incidents or injuries reported during the entire weekend.”
