LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 19-year-old man is injured after running off the road in the southwest valley on Sunday.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene of the crash at the intersection of South Grand Canyon Drive and Mariner Cove Drive.
At 11:09 a.m., police determined that a 2022 Dodge Challenger was traveling northbound on Grand Canyon Drive at a high speed. The vehicle then lost control for unknown reasons and ran off the road to the northeast, colliding with a water main box.
Police also noted that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
The collision remains under investigation.
