LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas firefighters are responding to a fire that broke out near the Las Vegas Strip on Wednesday afternoon.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue received reports of fire and smoke coming from a closed M&M Soul Food Cafe location on South Las Vegas Boulevard, near the Strat. A spokesperson for LVFR confirmed to FOX5 that the building was possibly abandoned.
Units arrived four minutes after being dispatched to the area and observed smoke coming from the building’s roof. Firefighters began working to extinguish the fire, and prevent it from spreading to other nearby businesses.
No injuries have been reported so far, and the cause is still under investigation.
Road closures are also in effect on Las Vegas Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue while the scene is still active.
