LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Clark County firefighters say one person was treated on scene during a fire in the east valley Tuesday morning.

The Clark County Fire Department said they started receiving reports of a structure fire in the 6400 block of E. Tropicana Avenue around 10:15 a.m. Clark County and the City of Las Vegas were dispatched.

When firefighters arrived, they said they observed heavy smoke coming from the roof.

“The fire was well advanced,” CCFD said. “Due to structural collapse concerns, units were withdrawn from the building after conducting a primary search of the structure to assure occupants were out of the building.”

Firefighters say this is still an active fire scene. There are 8 engines, 2 trucks, 3 rescues, 2 battalion chiefs, 1 air unit, 1 medical supervisor and 1 unit from community ambulance on scene.

“One civilian was treated on the scene and one firefighter was transported to the hospital,” firefighters said

The Clark County Fire Department also responded to a fire at the 4200 block of Boulder Highway, Thousand Trails Mobile Home Park.

That fire happened around 9:20 a.m. Firefighters said they saw heavy smoke coming from the structure and conducted an offensive attack.

The department said the fire was knocked down at 9:32 a.m. There were no injuries to civilians or fire service personnel.

CCFD said they will provide additional details when possible.
