LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Aces re-signed four-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson, president and GM Nikki Fargas announced today.

Wilson led the Aces to three WNBA titles over the past four seasons. With the re-signing, the Aces return 90% of their scoring power from the 2025 championship team, bringing back 75.5 of 83.6 points per game.

“A’ja is truly one of one, who has led this franchise to where it is today,” Fargas said. “Not only has she catapulted into the history books and surpassed almost every record in existence, but she does so with the utmost confidence, authenticity and grace. We look forward to continuing to see her thrive in an Aces uniform.”

Historic 2025 season

Wilson closed 2025 as the only player in WNBA history to earn MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Finals MVP and lead the league in scoring in the same season.

She became the only player in history to collect a fourth WNBA MVP honor, after previously winning the award in 2020, 2022 and 2024. Wilson is a two-time WNBA Finals MVP, three-time Defensive Player of the Year, seven-time All-Star, six-time All-WNBA selection and a five-time All-Defensive Team member. She earned 13 Western Conference Player of the Month, 28 Western Conference Player of the Week and three WNBA Rookie of the Month honors.

Wilson averaged 23.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.3 blocks during the 2025 regular season. In 12 playoff games, she averaged 26.8 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.1 steals and 2.5 blocked shots in leading the Aces to their third title in four years.

Wilson posted averages of 25.3 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.3 blocks during the Aces’ 16-0 winning streak to close out the season.

Career achievements

Wilson is the only player in league history to average at least 20 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocked shots and 1 steal per game. She did so twice, in 2024 and 2025.

She is the first player in league history to post a 30/20 game after scoring 32 points and grabbing 20 rebounds against Connecticut on Aug. 10, 2025. She is one of just four players in history to record multiple 20/20 games.

Wilson’s 5,719 career points ranks No. 21 among all-time WNBA scoring leaders. She is No. 18 for rebounds with 2,494, No. 13 for defensive boards with 1,971, No. 9 for blocked shots with 533 and No. 17 for stocks with 868, after playing in just 267 games.

A two-time Olympic and two-time FIBA World Cup gold medalist, Wilson earned an additional three gold medals playing for USA Basketball junior teams at the 2013 and 2015 FIBA U19 World Cups and the 2014 FIBA U18 AmeriCup. The three-time USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year in 2015, 2022 and 2024 earned MVP honors at the 2022 World Cup, 2015 U19s and 2014 U18s.

The No. 1 draft pick out of South Carolina in 2018, the Columbia, South Carolina, native has played her entire career in Las Vegas. In her first year, Wilson averaged 20.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks en route to earning 2018 WNBA Rookie of the Year honors. Over her eight seasons, Wilson boasts career averages of 21.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.0 blocks.
