LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Animal Foundation will host a pop-up pet food pantry in response to the hardships people are facing amid the uncertainty around SNAP benefits.
The pop-up food pantry will take place on Nov. 10 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Animal Foundation Community Center on North Mojave Road.
Owners are invited to stop by to grab pet food available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Animal Foundation says they are stepping up to help pet owners facing financial challenges and is on a mission to keep them out of already overcrowded shelters.
Those looking to offer a helping hand can donate pet food, which would go directly to families in need.
Community members in need will be able to receive cat or dog food for up to four pets per household. Officials are asking owners to bring a valid ID.
More details on the Emergency pet food pantry can be found on the Animal Foundation’s website.
