LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The MLB All-Star Game is a week away, and the Athletics will have two players in the starting lineup.

First baseman Nick Kurtz was named the American League’s starting first baseman for the All-Star Game on July 14 in Philadelphia. He will join catcher Shea Langeliers in the starting lineup.

Kurtz is in his second season and has posted 20 home runs, 66 RBIs and 76 walks, according to the broadcast script. The 76 walks lead Major League Baseball.

Kurtz played 117 games last season and was named rookie of the year, the script said.

The All-Star Game will air on FOX5 next Tuesday.
