LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — It’s game day and the Las Vegas Aviators are gearing up to host the Oklahoma City Comets in a showdown for the Triple-A crown.
The team will host the Triple-A affiliates of the Los Angeles Dodgers in a three game Pacific Coast League (PCL) Championship Series starting on Tuesday.

Las Vegas enters the matchup having won four of its final six games, capping an 87–61 campaign to secure the second-best record in the PCL and setting a new franchise wins record.
The team also drew 459,065 fans to the ballpark this season, according to a social post.

What to expect
The Aviators have squared off against the Comets 12 times during the regular season, going 5-7.
Oklahoma City also ended the season on a high note, winning their last four of six games. In September, the team went 15–3 and ended the regular season with a 89–60 record.
International League Championship Series
Over in the International League, the Memphis Redbirds will host the Rochester Red Wings in the best of three series starting on Tuesday at Autozone Park.
The winner of that series will face the winner of the PCL series in Las Vegas on Saturday, September 26.
