LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The North Las Vegas Police released new details on the suspect shot dead by officers last week.

The suspect is 43-year-old Edward Brooks. He’s accused of shooting and killing three women and a dog.

NLV PD released body camera footage Monday evening.

“Last warning! You’re gonna get shot! You’re gonna get shot!,” shouts one of the police officers involved in the shooting.

You can see Brooks approaching the officers just beyond the fence, being warned to drop his weapon or officers will shoot.

When brooks doesn’t comply, he is shot by officers.

Part of the video we aren’t showing you shows officers recover a gun from Brooks’ body, which police say it was this 380 caliber pistol.

Police say medical aid was applied right away, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The body cam footage shows the perspective of officer Kenneth Townley who joined the department in 20-20. He fired 6 shots at Brooks.

Officer Kevin Calderon who joined two years later, also fired 2 sots.

Brooks would be facing three charges of open murder had he survived.

Both officers are on paid leave as North Las Vegas Police Department investigate the shooting.
