STATELINE, Nev. (KOLO) – Caesars Entertainment has opened Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel and Casino, completing a $160 million multi-phase transformation of the former Harveys Lake Tahoe and positioning the property as a modern, design-forward resort on the South Shore, according to a Caesars news release.

The company recently marked the grand opening with a champagne reception, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and live performances at Tessie’s Cocktails & Chords, a new lounge developed in partnership with Clique Hospitality.

“With Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe, we set out to create something truly distinctive for this market,” Caesars Entertainment President and Chief Operating Officer Anthony Carano said. “An experience that blends the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada with the energy and innovation our guests expect.”

Karie Hall, senior vice president and general manager of Harrah’s and Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe, said the renovation was intended to refresh a long-standing Tahoe resort while keeping its identity tied to the area.

“The result is a resort that feels vibrant, elevated and unmistakably Tahoe,” Hall said.

The resort’s updates include renovated guest rooms, a reimagined lobby and a modernized casino floor, Caesars Entertainment said.

New and updated offerings include the High Dive Pool and Lounge, Caesars Sportsbook, and new bars including Cleo’s Coffee and Cocktails, Centro and Celeste.

Dining and nightlife options at the property include WOLF by Vanderpump and Gordon Ramsay’s HELL’S KITCHEN, the company said.

Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe is connected to Harrah’s Lake Tahoe via an indoor connector. Together, the two properties offer nearly 1,250 guest rooms and about 88,000 square feet of gaming space, Caesars Entertainment said.
