LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A California lawmaker is calling for the release of her staff member after he was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at Harry Reid Airport.
Assemblymember Catherine Stefani said Ho Yin Mo was detained Sept. 17 during a targeted operation at the airport.

The Department of Homeland Security said Mo legally entered the U.S. in 2020 but later overstayed his authorization.
Stefani said Mo is a legal employee of the California State Legislature who helps Chinese-American constituents access health care, child care and food support.
She is asking federal officials to release him from an immigration detention center in Pahrump.
