LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County School District plans to hold a public memorial for a CCSDPD officer who died on duty due to a medical episode.
Andrew Craft, 37, had served as a patrol officer for the department since 2018. He served in the Nevada State Police before that.
Craft died on January 10 and is survived by a father, a brother, and his 16-year-old son. A public memorial in his honor is set for 10 a.m. on Monday, January 15, at Central Church in Henderson.
Details regarding a procession are still being finalized. The Injured Police Officer’s Fund, which helps support the families of fallen officers, is also planning a public ceremony to be held at 4 p.m. on Monday at Legacy High School.
The organization has also set up an account to donate to Officer Craft’s family.
